About turnkey.dev

turnkey.dev is a vetted developer network. You tell us the role and stack, we match you with pre-screened senior developers, and you hire only when you are sure. It is operated by Webisoft, a software engineering firm in Montreal, Canada.

Why it exists

Hiring a developer the usual way is slow and risky: weeks of posting, a flood of unscreened resumes, and a real chance the person cannot do the work once they start. Open marketplaces solve the speed problem but hand you the screening burden. Premium networks solve the quality problem but charge a heavy markup and push a rigid process. turnkey.dev is the middle path: serious vetting, a lighter process, and rates you see before you commit.

How vetting works

Every developer in the network passes a technical screen, a practical exercise that mirrors real product work, a review of shipped projects where possible, and reference checks. We also weigh communication and collaboration, because remote work depends on them. We reject far more applicants than we accept. The result is that the shortlist you receive is people we would put on our own client work.

About the talent profiles

The profiles you can browse in the talent pool are representative, anonymized samples of the kinds of developers in the network. They are not public listings of specific named individuals, and we do not attach real names, photos, or fabricated ratings to them. When you request a profile, we confirm who is actually available with a matching background and share real details under an NDA.

How we make money

Requesting a shortlist is free. We earn a margin on the engagement once you hire a developer, at a rate you agree to up front. We would rather re-match than leave you with a bad fit, which is why you can replace any developer in the first two weeks at no cost.

Who runs it

turnkey.dev is operated by Webisoft, a software engineering firm that has spent years building software and staffing teams for startups and established companies alike. The network draws on that experience and that bar for quality.
